RSGDSYD HAVE CREATED THEIR OWN PIECE OF GREEK HISTORY!

There are so many people that played such a significant part in GODS. MYTHS. DANCE the stage production but first and foremost there is no one more worthy than my incredible past & present dancers.

Each time the RSGDSYD students hit the stage I am overwhelmed with pride and on the 25th March at NIDA there was no exception.

You were AMAZING and I am so proud of each and every one of you. Watching you perform onstage and seeing the smiles you put on the audience’s face’s cements why I love doing what I do and for that, I thank you. Thank you for blessing my school with your talent and inspiring me to continue to create and teach each and every day.

In  addition, some of my past dancers have played a significant part in the show and I am so honoured that you accepted the invitation to participate. You danced just as incredibly as you did 20 years ago! And I think I’ve whipped you back into shape in the process!!!

RSGD 2015 End of Year Dinner Dance
Conca D'oro Reception Centre, Riverwood

Rallis School of Greek Dance (RSGDSYD) is ready to WOW it’s audience once again.

For the FIRST TIME ever we will be paying tribute to “Old Greek Cinema” for our... end of year concert.

We all followed stories of love, passion and dance with Aliki Vougouklaki, Tzeni Karezi and Zoe Laskari. We all laughed with joy to the likes of Rena Vlaxopoulou, Thanasis Veggos, Kostas Voutsas, Labros Konstandaras and Zikos Xatzixristos.

This year, students bring to life the “Golden years of Greek Cinema” in a specially created and colourful show.

Be dazzled by the beats of Bouzoukia and entranced by a magnificent representation of the sound of the sea, the brightness of the sun and the magic of holiday season.

RSGD 2014 Gala Dinner

The Grand Ballroom, Palais Reception Centre

This year we will be holding a Gala Dinner Dance instead of our traditional Stage Production.

Thimios Gogidis, one of Greece’s most respected traditional Thrakiotiko artists will make a special appearance at our Gala Dinner on Saturday, 15th November accompanied by Greek TV Thessaloniki.

Thimios will be visiting Sydney in November to film a documentary about life in Australia and the role Greek dance has played in today’s society.

Rallis School of Greek Dance has been proudly selected as the School of preference for the documentary. Filming will be based on the formation of the school and the role it has played in the Greek community through the years.

Greek TV Thessaloniki will film both Thimios’ performance as well as our children’s show at our Gala Dinner event.

A night not to be missed!
